Privacy
You can use Conference Search without an account. We only collect what a feature needs, and only when you use that feature.
Conference Search is run by Reddevs. Last updated: Oct 16, 2026
What we store
Email alerts
When you subscribe to an alert, we store your email address, the search filters you saved and your language. We use them to send the confirmation email and the weekly digest, and for nothing else.
Conference submissions and reports
When you submit a conference or report a problem with a listing, we store what you wrote. The email field is optional. If you fill it in, we only use it to tell you when the conference is published or to ask about your report.
Analytics and error reports
When analytics are turned on, we count page views and a few actions, such as running a search or opening the map, with PostHog Cloud EU. It runs in cookieless mode: nothing is stored in your browser and no profile is built about you. To tell visits apart, PostHog computes a hash of your IP address and browser on its servers, and that hash changes every day. Errors in your browser are reported the same way so we can fix them.
Analytics are currently turned off.
Server logs
Like most websites, our servers log each request: IP address, page requested, time and browser user agent. We use these logs to keep the service running and to stop abuse, and keep them only as long as that requires.
Cookies
We set one cookie, PARAGLIDE_LOCALE, to remember your language. Editors who sign in to the admin area also get a session cookie. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
- Alert subscriptions you never confirmed: deleted after 7 days.
- Active alerts: kept until you unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Alerts you unsubscribed from: deleted 30 days later.
- Submissions and reports: kept as a record of where a listing came from. Ask us and we will remove your email address from them.
Who processes data for us
These services handle data on our behalf, each only for the task listed.
- Mailgun (EU)
- Sends confirmation and alert emails from its EU region.
- PostHog Cloud EU
- Analytics and error reports, when turned on. Data is stored in the EU.
- Anthropic
- Reads the text of public conference web pages to find ticket prices. It never receives data about you.
- Cloudflare Turnstile
- Checks that the submission, alert and report forms are used by a person and not a bot. For this check it processes your IP address and information about your browser.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to its use. Write to us at the address below. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
